I know I'm a few days late, but Mama and Papa V. were actually in town, so I think that's a legitimate excuse for belated tidings. :) We spent the past few days running around Old Town and thinking of rain-induced Plan Bs - the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Center adjacent to Dulles is a wonderfully dry alternative to slogging it out at the Air and Space Museum downtown - but it was fun to have my parents for the weekend, regardless of the weather. At least Mother's Day itself was gorgeous!
In case you've never met Mama V., I just want to tell you that she is pretty much the coolest mama around. Hands down. Easy peasy. And that makes me the luckiest daughter in the world.
